Bar a slightly weird John Lennon cosplay period, Liam Gallagher hasn’t changed much over the years. Alex Turner, on the other hand, looks and sounds completely different from one album to the next.

Liam Gallagher doesn’t like that. In fact, he laid into the Arctic Monkeys singer's makeovers last year during an interview with Radio 1’s Greg James.

“It’s when they do an interview and that later on down the line and they’ve been to America once and they come back”, Liam explained.

“They start speaking American. You know what I mean? They’re the ones. Like the geezer from the Arctic Monkeys [Alex Turner]. He did it, didn’t he? He started getting his hair in a quiff and biker leather jackets on. You know what I mean?”

He added: “It’s like, when he goes back to his mum’s, does he really walk in with that biker leather jacket and go [American accent] “hey mum, can I have some tea?”

A year later, and it looks like the two frontmen have finally buried the hatchet over a beer. The pair reportedly spent time together at Budapest’s Sziget Festival, where they were spotted “drinking and talking about music”.

“Liam has definitely mellowed over the past year”, a source told The Sun.

“Particularly since reuniting with his daughter Molly [Moorish]. He’s realised that sometimes he is too quick to speak before thinking things through.”

“Liam is definitely a changed-for-the-better man”, the source explained.
