Today, as they dropped the highly-anticipated trailer for Avengers: Endgame, Marvel simultaneously revealed the new poster for the upcoming final chapter in this era of the MCU. While fans were analysing both the trailer and the poster for clues about the summer blockbuster, many noticed a huge oversight in the latter. Here's the original poster:

Unfortunately, Marvel had left out Danai Gurira's name from the top of the poster, even though the image features her Black Panther character Okoye on the right side along with the rest of the Avengers who survived Thanos's dusting in Avengers: Infinity War. All the other Marvel characters on the posters also had their respective actors' names.

People on Twitter absolutely noticed, and they let their objections known:

A few hours later, after Marvel noticed its mistake thanks to the vocal Twitter community, it tweeted out a new poster, saying, "She should have been up there all this time. Check out the official Marvel Studios' #AvengersEndgame poster. @DanaiGurira #WakandaForever."

It's a weird oversight on Marvel's part in the first place, but good on them for actually fixing it (and being transparent about the mistake, considering they haven't deleted the original tweet). It will be interesting to see if they actually printed or manufactured the incorrect posters.

Anyway, fans were pretty cool about Marvel fixing its mistake.

Now Avengers fans have the poster the movies deserves. Avengers: Endgame is due out on 26 April, and will absolutely include Danai Gurira's name and her character.
