While musical guest Kanye West’s antics overshadowed all of the night’s scripted sketches, Matt Damon started Saturday Night Live’s 44th season on a high note with a surprise cameo as boozehound of the bench Brett Kavanaugh.

"I’m not backing down you sons of bitches,” said Damon during the show’s parody of Kavanaugh’s blustery and rambling opening remarks. "I don’t know the meaning of the word ‘stop.’"

SNL alum Rachel Dratch also appeared as Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, whose potential alcohol consumption the judge mocked, even though the Senator had noted that she was the child of an alcoholic. "Did you ever drink too many beers?" Dratch asked Damon. "You mean was I cool?" he answered. "Yeah."

Kate McKinnon drew some of the biggest laughs as an irate Lindsey Graham. "I know I’m supposed to shut up because I’m a single, white, male, 5’10” uncut," McKinnon began her rant, prosthetic jowls trembling. Not to be outdone, Damon closed the sketch by shotgunning a can of water. Check it out below.
