With Manchester United struggling to match Liverpool, Chelsea and City at the top of the league, Paul Pogba has again tried to nudge José Mourinho under the bus which the Portuguese has on hand for parking in big games.

Speaking to the press after United's 1-1 draw to Wolves at home on Saturday, Pogba said "When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack. I think teams are scared when they see Man United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake."

So what's stopping you, Paul? "I can’t tell you because I’m a player," Pogba said. "It’s not me." That sounds like a very thinly veiled jab at Mourinho, and when Pogba was pressed on whether he thought United had enough pace and movement in the team for his liking, he again sounded like he didn't have total faith in his manager.

"I’m not the manager, I cannot, like, say that but… obviously we should show more option of playing but I cannot say that because I’m a player."

But then it turned out that, despite being a player, he absolutely could say that: "That’s my way of thinking - we should move better, we should move more, yeah."

It's not quite open revolt, but after all the talk about Pogba agitating for a move to Barcelona in the summer - and the presumed antipathy between the two despite Mourinho's praise for Pogba's performances this season - it's not exactly a ringing endorsement either.
