Nobody knows quite how many films Quentin Tarantino has left. It might be one after Once Upon A Time In... Hollywood, but it could easily be north of that if we're not counting a possible R-rated Star Trek film and anything else Tarantino directs but doesn't write.

It's a completely artificial self-imposed limit and he's free to rewrite it as and when, sure, but it'd be nice to be able to get something solid pencilled in. You might think about sketching 'Kill Bill 3?' very faintly with the old HB though, because Tarantino and Uma Thurman have been chatting and it sounds like they're both up for it.

"Me and Uma have talked about it recently, frankly, to tell you the truth," Tarantino told the Happy Sad Confused podcast. "I have thought about it a little further. We were talking about it literally last week. If any of my movies were going to spring from my other movies, it would be a third Kill Bill."

Intriguing. One of the mooted paths a third Kill Bill might take would be to follow former Deadly Viper Assassination Squad member Vernita Green's grown-up daughter as she attempts to do in Thurman's The Bride for having done in her mum in the opening section of the first Kill Bill, which would be very neat.

The Hate U Give's Amandla Stenberg pitched herself for the part last summer too. "There have been rumours about a potential Kill Bill Vol. 3 and that would just be amazing," she told Cinepop. "It’s my favourite movie. It would be so cool. The Bride tells Vernita’s daughter after she kills [her mother], 'If you’re salty about this in 10 years, come find me and we'll work it out.'"
