On the promo push for The Rise of Skywalker, Star Wars actor John Boyega has had a slightly fractious relationship with fans. As well as detailing the interactions with, shall we say, passionate folks on Twitter who hold him responsible for what they see as the film's failings, he's aired his own criticisms of The Last Jedi, which has been received as well as you'd expect.
Upping the ante further, he's trolled fans on social media by 'leaking' The Rise of Skywalker's opening crawl. Of course, Boyega was pulling everyone's leg, but we're sure fans' hearts must have skipped a beat or two after initially thinking he'd dropped the real thing.
Taking to Instagram, Boyega posted a video with the caption: "Exclusive sneak peek at #TheRiseOfSkywalker opening crawl!"
The iconic Star Wars titles then begin to roll, before needle-dropping into DaBaby's 'Vibez', with Boyega dancing over the top. The ball's in your court, nerds.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a release date of Thursday, December 19 in the UK and Friday, December 20 in the US
