We already knew that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be utterly enormous, in a purely diary-related sense: it'll devour weekends, it'll shove half-hearted midweek drinks plans out of the way, it'll make you realise you've been staring at a wall thinking about your horse for a good 90 seconds mid-KPI appraisal.

But we now know it'll be a preposterously huge drain on your PS4's hard drive too. The new Red Dead weighs in at a gargantuan 105GB, according to eagle-eyed readings of a new shot of the box which the Red Dead 2 and PS4 Pro bundle arrives in.

It beats recent whoppers like The Elder Scrolls Online (86GB) Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (95GB), and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (101GB), and is significantly more than the comparably detail-rich sandbox world-building in Grand Theft Auto 5 (76GB).

That's going to be a bit of an arseache for anyone with less-than-lightning connection speeds. Then again, though, what is the miracle of consumer electronics for if not to invest six hours of your Saturday in waiting for an install so that you can see a CGI cowboy's beard hair grow in real time?
