Items left to Stanley Kubrick's late assistant Emilio D’Alessandro have been listed on the Italian auction website Aste Bolaffi, and they're sure to excite fans of the American director's work.

The lot contains memorabilia from films such as A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut, alongside some more random items such as 'Stanley Kubrick’s membership card for the Writers Guild of America'.

Up for auction is also a very rare cut of Kubrick's seminal horror The Shining, bidding for which will start at around $3,700.

The auction lot describes the item as a “long cut of the original film The Shining containing the scene in which Wendy, played by Shelley Alexis Duvall, carries Danny, played by little Danny Lloyd. These cuts, given by Kubrick to D’Alessandro, are particularly rare because the director notoriously burned all the leftovers at the conclusion of the editing.”
