Before Tom Hardy was a beloved actor. Before he was a saviour of canines and all round national treasure. Before he was an Esquire cover star.

He was a rapper.

In a decent shout for the most delightful discovery of 2017, a previous unreleased collab between a DJ named Eddie Too Tall and a rapper named Tommy No. 1 - aka Ed Tracy and a certain Tom Hardy - has been unearthed from 1999.

.

.

Called Falling on Your Arse in 1999, it features Tom with an impressively languid flow (more West then East coast, if you ask us), spitting bars over, among other things, the theme music to The Godfather on album highlight 'Wiser'.

As reported by Noisey, Tracy quietly uploaded the not-quite-finished rap mixtape to Bandcamp earlier this month, and it soon made its way to Reddit.

It's very, very late-90s and actually rather good.
