David Beckham has been many things in his life: pro footballer, international sex symbol, savvy businessman, and now owner of Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, or Inter Miami CF, the MLS team based out of the cultural centre of South Florida.

Beckham has a well-deserved reputation as one of the most stylish men in the world, and for opening day of the MLS season (and his inaugural game day as a team owner), he was decked out in the finest custom duds courtesy of Ralph Lauren and the brand's Purple Label made-to-measure program.

Becks opted for a classic black wool gabardine suit complete with his team's crest stitched subtly below the breast pocket, and a complementing silk tie embroidered with Inter Miami's "M" icon. "Ralph Lauren is a man I've admired for a long time, and I've worn his designs on so many important occasions throughout my life," Beckham says. "For the last seven years I've imagined what it will feel like to stand pitch side as an owner of Inter Miami CF. It's going to be incredible moment for me watching our first game and to be wearing an IMCF custom Ralph suit. I'm so grateful to Ralph for giving his time to support me on this special day."

On Sunday, IMCF squared off against LAFC in a game that ended in a 1 - 0 loss for Miami. But can you really lose when you're wearing custom Ralph Lauren? Here's hoping the team's luck picks up as the season proceeds, and a hearty congratulations to Beckham once again on his continued success at looking so damn good all the damn time—even in defeat.
