While the menswear essential has so often been an alternative to a shirt within a formal look, Patel proves that it works just as well on the off-duty.
The rules are straightforward, too. Go simple on the pieces elsewhere, and contrast your colour palette for something more memorable. So cream for navy, black for grey and so forth.
