We hate to break it to you, but Mr Porter's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale isn't a given. Back in 2019, the luxury e-tailer took a hiatus from the event, only to return – generous discounts in tow – the November after. Luckily, we're seeing much of the same for 2023.
In fact, this year, Mr Porter launched its BFCM sale not one, not two, but four days early. Whilst some designers are excluded (the usual culprits) there's a strong edit of new-season pieces at 30 per cent off from the likes of Margiela, Paul Smith, Lemaire, Carharrt, Jacquemus and JW Anderson to peruse.
What's more, while the luxury e-tailer warmed us up with 30 percent off selected lines, now that discount has reached up to 50 percent. This is Mr Porter's best Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale in history, folks.
Now, with the main weekend of savings gone, even more pieces have been added to the sale for Cyber Monday. This is the part of the whole pre-Christmas sales era which sorts the wheat from the chaff, the day trippers from the hardcore value-seekers. If you've managed to contain yourself through the first waves of reductions, as the less experienced shoppers dashed themselves against the cliffs and ended up absolutely spent by last Wednesday, then this is your time to shine.
When Black Friday first hit British shores, it was a chance to get hold of cheap TVs and smartphones. Now, though, the luxury industry has cottoned on, and the sales day has become the best time to fill any gaps in your winter wardrobe.

When is Black Friday 2023?
Determined by Thanksgiving dates in the US, Black Friday always falls on the fourth weekend of November which, this year, is the 24th. Having said that, many retailers – like Mr Porter this year – like to get a head start by kicking off their sale a few days early.
Does Mr Porter take part in Black Friday?
This one isn't a straightforward answer. Technically, no – but the e-tailer been known to launch sales with different names that just happen to occur on the very same weekend as Black Friday. In 2019 it skipped discounting altogether. In the years since, though, Mr Porter offered up one of the very best Black Friday offerings in menswear: 30 per cent off selected new-season designer pieces. And for 2023, the luxury e-tailer has upped the ante with deals of up to 50 per cent off.
What about Cyber Monday?
Mr Porter has taken part in Cyber Monday for the past few years now. And 2023 is no different. Falling on 27 November this year, Mr Porter's Cyber Monday sale sees up to 50 percent knocked off selected lines.
