Everyone has a favourite Ryan. I'm pretty unbiased—I like all the Hollywood Ryans, for the most part, but today, I've gotta say: Ryan Reynolds is taking the cake. Not for any new movie or interview, nothing like that. It's just because he wore a damn great suit the other night.

At the Bring Change to Mind Gala where he was honoured with the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award, Ryan Reynolds stole the show in head-to-toe Todd Snyder. Any guy who wears Todd Snyder already has my favour, because it's a brand that shows you know your stuff—you're cool, and contemporary, and clearly unopposed to looking fresh as hell. Reynolds was dressed in looks entirely from the new fall collection: the Italian Wool Flannel Sutton Suit in a deep, classy shade of olive, plus the matching Italian Wool Flannel Tie, and a khaki Spread Collar Sateen Poplin Dress Shirt to tie the whole look together.

Guys, this is the way to do a suit. It's elevated, yet not stiff. It's not boring—anyone who knows me knows that my major pet peeve is when guys throw on a simple, plain old black suit for any formal event. Spice it up! Get some olive and khaki in there! Make it modern, soft, unstructured! This is the new way to do a suit, and Todd Snyder and Ryan Reynolds are already on the job.
