Seth Rogen's rise to the position of menswear luminary has been a slow but steady one, a journey from 'comfortable stoner' to a man dressing perfectly for his size and shape to more recent experiments with colour and streetwear.

Case in point: this masterclass in texture and depth just yesterday. While promoting his latest flick Long Shot in New York, Rogen ticked several trends without falling into the trap of trying too hard. We had a wider, looser, softer tailored leg. There were minimalist sneakers. There was even some texture in a classic suede shacket. And this on the heels of several recent stand-out looks, including wearing an electric blue suit at SXSW and accompanying Charlize Theron in a winning print clash.

It all adds up to a man who has hit his style stride with a wardrobe that feels authentically him - there's still a nod to bumbling bro-ism in the specs, ruffled beard and hair - but also incorporates a range of looks and can spring the odd surprise. Take note.
