The specific sneak that Rihanna rocked on stage at the NFL spectacle originates from the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon collaboration that debuted in late 2022. Named the Cross Low, the trail running-inspired silhouette – also available in black and beige – fuses Maison Margiela subline’s innovative attitude towards reforming wardrobe essentials with Salomon’s performance-first approach.
By pairing Salomon sneakers with a high-fashion look bereft of a hiking vibe, Rihanna signals a future where the most prominent pieces of the waning gorpcore movement will be assimilated into sartorial norms.
