It's here. Spider-Man, seemingly alive after being sucked into Thanos' big cosmic vacuum bag, is back to his old tricks: swinging from tall buildings with a bloodstream comprised of oxygen and proteinaceous spider silk. But off-screen, Tom Holland is just as impressive.

At the Hollywood premiere of the latest instalment, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Holland once again cemented his style nous. Though instead of leaning on the stuff that always works (which is no bad thing, by the way), the 23-year-old took risks. Subtle ones, but risks nonetheless.

A suit that isn't actually a suit. Not by traditional standards, at least, with Holland opting for a hybrid of the classic blazer and the jacket of your weekends. We have a sharp lapel. But we've also got a banded hem and pockets. There's a structured fit. But also ribbed trouser cuffs. We have a look, in short, that doesn't play by your stuffy old rules on Savile Row, and one that works as a result.

Now, we're not suggesting you bin off your favourite two-piece in exchange for something as experimental. That would be chaos. There is, however, potential to bolster your tailoring arsenal with something more relaxed, something more appropriate to the horror that is a smart-casual dress code.

After all: tricks aren't just for kids. They're for your next big and lovely tailored look.
