Streetwear: once labelled a fad, now a permanent fixture. And one that can make even the sharpest of dressers look like a home county 14-year-old that's nicked his dad's credit card.

Well, no more.

The latest release from Y-3 - adidas and Yohji Yamamoto's longstanding joint venture - is a rare beast indeed: streetwear with universal appeal. Classic sporty shapes like bomber jackets, reversible blousons and tank tops have enjoyed a minimalist makeover, meaning they'll meld seamlessly with the stuff already in your wardrobe.

What's more, a tailored edge gives Y-3's new drop a healthy dose of maturity, with compression tees and crew sweatshirts sitting pretty next to structured blazers, cropped trousers and subtle floral motifs.

The collection itself is inspired (and modelled) by basketball star James Harden, and thankfully, it's a far cry from the oversized jerseys and retina-scorching palettes last seen in a 50 Cent music video.

To the contrary, Y-3's latest drop is the streetwear that every guy beyond adolescence can wear - and, more importantly, wear well.
