We're all for charitable giving here at Esquire. And, if we're going to give, we like to give in style (champagne and canapes have been known to lubricate the linings of our pockets). So, when we heard about East London's forthcoming Shoreditch Ball, we were first off the mark to dust down our dinner jackets.
Hosted by East End socialite Jonny Woo and featuring a guest dj set from jaundice-haired fashion icon Pam Hogg - alongside a stint from Ronnie Scott's regular Natalie Williams and her 6-piece band - the swing-inspired dinner, dance and auction (featuring contributions from YBA Gavin Turk et al) will raise essential funds for disability charity, TLC Care Services. And, perhaps most importantly, cocktails will be provided throughout the night by classic French aperitif, Lillet (be sure to sample the truly potent Twisted Vesper).
We're offering one of you lot - along with a guest of your choice - the chance to attend the dinner, dance and auction on October 15th, after which you'll each receive a Lillet winter punch kit. To be in with a chance of winning this one-off prize, simply drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org quoting "Lillet" in the subject line. Oh, and be sure to provide all your relevant details.
