The World's End is the doomsday-centric conclusion of the Edgar Wright/Simon Pegg trilogy of films that began with the brilliant Shaun of the Dead. The film will see five old friends – including Pike, Pegg and Martin Freeman – reunite to complete a 20-year-old pub crawl. That is until, y'know, alien invaders get in the way. Bugger.
Alongside her (smouldering) photo shoot in Esquire's August issue, the 34-year-old Londoner tells features editor Colin Crummy about her journey from "scruffy" Oxford student to mischevous bombshell.
"To be made to laugh is one of the greatest things on Earth and to be in the company of people who do that the best – like Simon and Nick – is the best," Pike told Esquire. "It's good for the soul."
We'd say that black lace isn't half bad, either.
