Exclusive shoot with Game Of Thrones' Natalie Dormer

Exclusive shoot with Game Of Thrones' Natalie Dormer

Natalie Dormer has, thankfully, very little in common with her Game Of Thrones counterpart, Margaery Tyrell. For one, she isn’t betrothed to wed a psychotic teenage boy who also happens to be the merciless head-chopping King.

For another, while her character’s charm, wit and scrupulous cunning suggest an ulterior motive (her family’s rapid ascent among the corridors of power, and their true motives, are eyebrow-raising to say the least) in person she is warm, friendly and – we hope – playing no long-cons whatsoever.

“You’ll never hear me have anything but love in my heart for those roles,” she tells Max Olesker in Esquire's October issue, referring to her other medieval stint as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors. “But I’ve done so much more.”

Like her character, Natalie Dormer has gone from small-part player to seriously powerful contender – she plays the resourceful, intelligent femme fatale Irene Adler in CBS’ Elementary, and recently signed on to the final two films in The Hunger Games saga. Check out our behind-the-scenes video for proof that Natalie has no problem losing the long skirts - even though Winter Is Coming.
