In the 2015 documentary Ronaldo, a polished account of the eponymous man's life and obsession with winning, the day-to-day existence of Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't actually seem all that desirable. In fact, it looks a bit bleak (in a billion-pound, 10 mansions sort of way).
You've got Cristiano in his giant white house in a gated community in Madrid; Cristiano eating dinner with his son by himself; Cristiano surrounded by hangers-on; Cristiano driving a Bugatti to nowhere in particular; Cristiano so rich, so famous, so talented that no one is quite on his level. A demigod surrounded by gold, marble, mortals and a bizarre obsession with the Ballon d'Or.
But, it turns out that being Cristiano Ronaldo is actually pretty great, as demonstrated by him scoring two goals in the Champions League final and then showing the world his lingerie model girlfriend.
Her name is Georgina Rodriguez, a 22-year-old Spanish model who Ronaldo met at a Dolce & Gabbana VIP event (does it get more Ronaldo?).
The lesson from all of this? Don't believe everything that you see in films... even documentaries.
Because being Ronaldo looks pretty f*****g brilliant.
