What Science Says Women Find Attractive This Week

Want more success with the farier sex? You've probably got what they want all wrong

When it comes to attracting women, it seems good looks, interesting hobbies and a riveting personality aren't so important after all.

A new study from the Association of Psychological Sciences has shown that women are more attracted to men with wide heads.

Within three minutes of meeting, women found the big faced men more desirable for a brief relationship, and wanted to go on another date with them.

And it isn’t just good news with the ladies. Having a wide face has also been linked to hand-to-hand combat skills, aggression and financial prosperity.

Meanwhile, another piece of research released this week by the Royal Society journal claims women can detect athletic excellence and sort the winners from the losers by face alone.

A group of ladies rated Tour de France participants for facial attractiveness before the race began. Those who went on to finish in the top 10% of the race were consider a full 25% more attractive than the laggers. Researchers reckon this means that women have evolved to see sporting ability as a physical attribute – so, the better cyclist you are, the more handsome you seem.

So, the take away from this week's round of cutting edge science? Get your cranium stretched, and buy a bicycle.
