Actress Stephanie Sigman is officially Mexico's first Bond girl.
Starring in Spectre, the 28-year-old – who won rave reviews for her performance in 2011's Miss Bala – has also appeared in the music video of Arctic Monkeys single 'Snap Out Of It', as well as the recent Netflix television series Narcos.
We sat down with Sigman to discuss her preferred style on a man, relationship turn-offs and Tinder.
It makes a big difference when men respect women. There are a lot of men who don't, so that's the main quality that would make a good man a great man.
Trust is important in any relationship, not just a romantic one.
I like old-fashioned style on a man. Just look to James Bond for inspiration.
Gentlemen are not easy to find. I have two really brothers – one older, one younger – who set a great example when I was growing up, so I was spoiled thinking every man was like that.
There are much more important things than a man going to the gym. Of course they have to take care of themselves on a certain level, but it's not essential. I think men do it more to impress other men.
I've never had a type. I believe in chemistry and energy more than just a physical attraction.
If I think you're cute, I will say it. It's not weird to approach somebody on the street or in a bar. I think that interaction is more real – I definitely prefer it to Tinder!
With time, men can forget to be romantic like they were at the beginning of a relationship. It's about the details: bring us a flower; tell us we look beautiful – maybe men think that's corny, but it's important to make a girl feel special.
Sometimes I like a guy who doesn't know about fashion. I think it's charming. You can get away with a lot of things being a guy.
Lies shouldn't happen in a relationship. That's a big one; in a relationship, you can work out a lot of things by having good communication, so it's not good to lie – however small.
Chat-up lines are not honest. I think saying anything would be okay if you really mean it, because then it comes out in a good way.
I personally think Prague is more romantic than Paris. If you have a girlfriend, take her there.
There’s a bunch of things men will never know about women, but that's okay because that's the beauty of it. We don't quite understand each other but we can make it work. That's what makes it sexy.
