'Good Things' is Esquire's celebration of the very best stuff you can buy, via the personal endorsement of our editors. "Best" doesn't mean most expensive, and it won't just be clothes (although, that's kind of our vibe). Just know that when you see the Good Things logo, it has the Esquire seal of approval.

Bennett Winch, the first luggage brand ever to open on Savile Row, has introduced a clever new bag designed for keeping clothes smart during short-term trips.

Handmade in England, the Trifold is a full-length suit bag that transforms into a lean carry, with capacity for three suits (or their equivalent) and launches this summer.

“We realised, ‘This isn’t just a suit bag, this is a garment bag – this is amazing’,” Robin Winch recalls. “If you’re going away for a weekend and you want an outfit ready for the first night – like a sports jacket plus a pair of trousers, you can put that in there. You can put in a shacket or two that usually you’d fold up and put in a suitcase. Your wife could put her cocktail dress in there. All of them are going to be kept completely uncreased and ready to go.”

The creasing issue is dealt with thanks to the Trifold’s open-sided format, a clever solution held in place via a set of concealed magnets and a pair of Tuscan leather retaining straps, while another military grade cotton webbing shoulder strap allows you to travel hands-free.

The design took a year to perfect and required over 15 samples.

The Trifold comes in navy, olive and black and is made in select batches. All patterns are cut by hand, and the leather trim is made by hand-skiving and hand-painting. As with all Bennett Winch designs, the idea is to create an enduring, heirloom-quality product.

“Craftsmanship is imperative to everything we do,” says Winch.
