Like Coke and Mentos and ammonia and bleach, Orlando Bloom and James Bond should never be mixed... ever.
Having built a career out of being more handsome than most people, the man whose most notable professional achievement in the last five years arrived after being photographed naked on a stand up paddle board, is sending out some potential feelers for the role of 007.
In a new interview with the BBC News, Bloom discussed what he could bring to the mahogany poker table.
Are you listening, Barbara Broccoli?
"I think a bit of that very English, but like that sort of twinkle, with a bit of muscular dynamic."
"I grew up loving those [Bond] films. Who didn't? I'm sure they'll probably do more with Daniel, and who knows where they'll go with that?
"Again, that franchise is a part of the fabric of our society, isn't it? It's something that people really relate, and laugh and enjoy… That little wink and twinkling behind the eyes is what I always saw in Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
"I love what Daniel Craig did — muscular, dynamic. I think there's a combination of all of that that's really interesting."
So are you listening, Barbara? There's a perfectly good Orlando Bloom out there, and he's ready to twinkle!
