This Is Why It's Harry Styles' Fault That 'Dunkirk' Is A 12A

He went off-script

Harry Styles makes his acting debut in Dunkirk this week, and he seems to have left a lasting impression as he admitted to being the real reason behind the film's 12A classification.

The film was originally aiming for a PG certification - before Styles dropped the f bomb twice on set, that is.

Speaking on Radio 1 he said swearing came instinctively, even if it was unscripted: "Chris [Nolan] makes this world that makes you react so naturally."

"You do not feel like you have to act that much as he makes it really instinctive. And you get carried away. He makes it easy to be immersed in it."

Director Christopher Nolan then decided to keep them in as he liked the "authenticity".

Despite the fact Styles' acting has been well received, the former One Directioner says this might be his one and only film: "I've peaked too soon, there's no place to go."

"I haven't really thought about it to be honest, I loved this and I loved getting to work with everyone, maybe, maybe not. I'm maybe one and done. I'd do this one again."

To be fair if you're going to do one film, starring alongside Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy isn't exactly a bad call.
