The real Wolf of Wall Street had to teach Leonardo Dicaprio how to "do" drugs because he had never taken any.
And how do you teach someone what it's like to be high? By rolling around on the floor and drooling, apparently.
Here's what Jordan Belfort says inspired that infamous quaaludes scene.
A tape of what happened next supposedly exists somewhere, but we doubt we are going to see it surface anytime soon.
"I started crawling around. We were both on the floor, drooling. His father walked into the room and asked us what the f*** we were doing."
Although DiCaprio's lifestyle is not too far from the Wolf, as far as yachts and dating models go that is, the actor said he has never touched drugs due to his upbringing.
Speaking to US Weekly back in 2014, DiCaprio said: "Never done it. That's because I saw this stuff literally every day when I was three or four years old. So Hollywood was a walk in the park for me... I'd go to parties and it was there and, yeah, there's that temptation."
Although he admitted the temptation was there, seeing where it could head was enough to put him off.
"Hollywood is a very volatile place where artists come in and they essentially say they want to belong. It's incredibly vulnerable to be an actor and also get criticism at a young age when you're formulating who you are. We've seen a lot of people fall victim to that, and it's very unfortunate."
