Here's our list of excuses for being excited about the new Godzilla movie:
| Next year is the 60th anniversary since the first ever Godzilla film, which came out in 1954. So less another-cynical-reboot and more a fitting-tribute-to-a-cinematic classic. Possibly.
| It's being directed by Gareth Edwards, and Monsters was great.
| Bryan Cranston is in it.
| Nothing can be worse than Roland Emmerich's 1998 movie, which was memorable only for its Puff Daddy / Jamiroquai / Led Zeppelin soundtrack.
| It is, at the end of the day, about a giant radioactive monster destroying the world.
