The Trip to Italy, the follow up to BAFTA award-winning comedy The Trip, will kick off its new six-part series on Friday April 4th on BBC2.
Directed again by Michael Winterbottom, the new trailer (below) confirms what we'd guessed already - that this series will pick up where Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon left off in The Lake District. Fans will be happy to see that the formula has not been tampered with.
That means impressions, impressions, a bit of barbed but affectionate banter, and a few more impressions, all against the backdrop of a road trip through spectacular scenery. This time round, the car is a MINI not a Range Rover and the six meals take place in Piemonte, Liguria, Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi and finally Capri.
