Star Wars: Episode VII Cast Revealed

Who'll be lining up alongside Harrison in the next installment

The cast of JJ Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII has been announced. Forget Jar Jar Binks. Forget the annoying kid who played Anakin. Forget the fact you're 46-years-old – this is important news.

The hopefully-not-totally-rubbish new installment of the money making franchise epic sci-fi series will star John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.

And if you have no idea who any of those young guns are, remeber the saga's original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker are also confirmed to star. Yes, Harrison Ford.

Director Abrams said: "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns to score.

The release date is 18 December 2015. Not long to wait then...
