If there's one filmmaker known for keeping his cards close to his chest, it's Christopher Nolan. However, the man behind Inception and the most recent Batman trilogy released the second trailer for his hotly anticipated time travel epic Interstellar over the past weekend, showing us a little more of what to expect when the film opens this winter.
Here’s what we do know so far. Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain star in a sci-fi-come-drama about the opening of a wormhole, which may provide humanity with its first chance to travel through space and time.
Frequent mention of Murphy’s Law in the trailer is a small hint. Named after the aerospace engineer, Edward A. Murphy Jr., the law is usually understood to mean, “anything that can go wrong, will”.
It’s safe to say things won’t be going smoothly.
The film will also star Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace and John Lithgow.
Interstellar opens on 7 November in the UK
