Where would classic films be without their star’s vehicles? Forget DeNiro, Scorsese’s Taxi Driver would have been a different film entirely without the yellow New York taxi.
Similarly, Ryan Gosling might not have looked quite as slick in Drive without his 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle and Doc Brown and Marty McFly might not have hit 88 mph so easily without their trusty DeLorean.
Thank goodness then for Spanish artist Jesús Prudencio who has combinded his two passions in new project ‘Cars And Films’. A graphic designer and illustrator with a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, Prudencio has taken his favourite movie vehicles and placed them front and centre in a series of minimal film posters.
Featuring the likes of the Ghostbusters’ 1959 Cadillac, Bonnie & Clyde’s bullet-riddled Ford V8 and The Shining’s snow mobile, the collection is enough to make you splurge your month’s wages on prints and vow to tear up your bus pass in favour of something with a bit more horsepower.
For now, browse our pic of the images below (including Mr Bean’s Leyland Mini 1000) and make sure to visit Jesús’ site for the entire collection.
