It may have been four years since The Inbetweeners finished school and three years since the first movie took us all by surprise, but Will, Neil, Simon and Jay have returned and somehow, they appear not to have aged (despite the oldest cast member turning 31 this year).
In their second big screen installment, the boys from Rudge Park Comp head down to Australia, AKA ‘the sex capital of the world’ (according to Jay at least).
Cue puns on ‘down under’, the ‘bush’, gratuitous shots of Will’s mum’s cleavage and ill-advised car paint jobs.
The first movie was better than it had any right to be and fans of the series will be relieved to see not much has changed in the new trailer. Neil is still gormless, Jay still has a strange relationship with the truth, Simon still acts incredulous to everything and Simon seems exactly like that guy from Fresh Meat.
Despite that, the trailer does raise a few laughs and a change of location could be enough to re-invigorate the series.
But will the lads have any success on their gap year?
We’ll find out when the film is released on August 6.
