The protracted transfer of midfielder Paul Pogba to Manchester United has had another twist in the tale, as a new adidas commercial appears to confirm the Frenchman is off to Old Trafford.

The advert starts by showing a newspaper with Pogba's face on and the words BLAH BLAH BLAH, before the footballer tells the camera "Don't believe everything you read in the papers."

He then walks onto a football pitch and scores a goal - during which the camera cuts to a partially obscured billboard with the United logo on it - subtle, right?

Despite the clue, Pogba's agent responded with a tweet that referenced the ad and appeared to insist no deal was yet done.

Given that Pogba has tweeted another subtle clue (below), is reportedly having a medical today in Los Angeles and United sponsors Chevrolet have coincidentally just starting following Pogba on Instagram, this looks like a done deal. Though you never quite know.
