Amidst constant rumours and speculation, it looks like we might finally... finally have a somewhat confirmed release date for the mythical iPhone 7.

Prominent tech reporter Evan Blass - who has successfully reported previous Apple releases - took to his Twitter account with confidence to reveal when Apple's latest iPhone update will be available.

Right now it looks like the actual announcement will be on 7 September, although Apple themselves have been typically muted when it comes to any significant information.

If the rumours are to be believed, we can look forward to an edgeless screen and a dual-lens camera, but no headphone jack.

We're sure there'll be plenty more news and hearsay before that feted Friday in September.
