Whether it was in Roxanne, Father Of The Bride, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or Three Amigos, Steve Martin is a man who knows how to make you laugh. Not only is his early film catalogue is consistent comedic gold but he's also performed (good) stand-up comedy, and hosted Saturday Night Live numerous times.
Now he's decided to give a little back and teach an online comedy class for aspiring writers and comedians. "I'm so honored to be invited into your home, phone, or wearable" he said in a statement.
Variety report that for $90 students will receive 25 videos, a classic workbook complete with lesson reviews and additional materials, and if you're good enough, individual feedback from the man himself.
The class joins the MasterClass lineup that includes Christina Aguilera (singing), Kevin Spacey (acting), Gordon Ramsay (cooking), Dustin Hoffman (acting), Werner Herzog (filmmaking) and Aaron Sorkin (screenwriting).
MasterClass, founded in 2015, also has courses in the works from Shonda Rhimes on writing for television, Hans Zimmer on film scoring, and Frank Gehry on design and architecture.
Jose Mourinho (mind-games) and Donald Trump (dictating) are still TBC.
