Londoners work 100 hours more than the rest of the country, according to new figures from the Office of National Statistics.

That's a whole three weeks, extra.

The average working week in the UK is 31 hours, but for Londoners that rises to 33 hours. That, and London has the highest rate of full-time employment.

Also, Londoners spend more time commuting - on average around 75 minutes.

However, before Londoners get too depressed, just remember you stand to earn about £10 more per hour than the rest of the UK.

So you might be working longer hours, spending even longer to commute home, but you do get paid more, so that just about justifies that tenner you just spent on two pints… right?
