Russia: where the weather is cold, the stews are hot, the elections are rigged and already-decided cup finals descend into primeval disarray, with four red cards dished out in the space of a minute.

With less than a minute to play in the Russian Cup final, winners Lokomotiv Moscow and Ural Yekaterinburg players became embroiled in a totally mad scrap, with Ural's Artem Fidler and Edgar Manucharian, and Lokomotiv's Jefferson Farfan and Ari, all getting sent off their role in the commotion.

Apparently the whole thing was set off after Artem Fidler took offence to a comment made about his mother by Lokomotiv's Manuel Fernandes.
