Nobody was shocked by the fact that Everton splashed out £45 million for Gylfi Sigurdsson, but that's mostly because nothing makes sense anymore. It's a huge price to pay for a player who's failed to make the top grade in the past.
But if he keeps cracking out incredible goals like this, the fee will have been more than worth it.
Last night, on his Everton debut against Hajduk Split in a Europa League qualifier, Sigurdsson's team arrived in Croatia with a 2-0 first leg lead.
But just before half-time, Ronald Koeman's side were knocked back by a Josip Radosevic goal, and Everton started preparing themselves for a second half under the cosh.
But then Sigurdsson did this, and Hajduk had too much respect to fight back afterwards. It just deserved to be a match winner.
