Drake: a man who fits into that strange dichotomy of both rap superstar and king dork. The kind of guy who used to be a child actor, but now calls himself Champagne Papi and sort of gets away with it, because - undeniably - (and if you deny this then you are, in fact, a liar) makes chart-friendly rap music that you automatically bob your spiteful head to with gritted teeth because you don't want to love it, but you really, really do. You love it and it's killing you. You close your eyes and try to push the image of Drake's laser-etched beard and fade that he gets 'touched up' four times a week from your mind's eye, but The 6 God isn't going anywhere.
He is Drake and he is omnipotent.
Anyway, Drake is a strange case of an equally cool and uncool celebrity and the same goes for his choice of tattoos. Why? Because Drake just got a tattoo of Denzel Washington and it's hard to know how to feel about it all really.
Done by Inal Bersekov, who specialises in black and grey portraits that don't look terrible, Drake's Denzel tattoo is, somewhat confusingly, a photo-realistic rendition of the actor in the film Mo' Better Blues, in which he plays a jazz trumpeter caught in a moral bind.
We were hoping for Man on Fire-era Denzel, but there you go.
This is certainly not the first time we've seen Drake take permanent ownership of some opinion-splitting ink. Because, well, just take a look at some of them for yourself.
"Sweet thing." :)
Oh, and he's also got a whopping great portrait of Lil' Wayne on the back of his arm.
We're still waiting on an official statement from Denzel.
