Apple's iOS 11 Is Already Causing Big Battery Problems

Arguably the most important element of having a nice, shiny iPhone is being able to actually use it without the battery dying in two hours, so you can probably guess the delight of iPhone users once they discovered that iOS 11, Apple's new operating system, is draining batteries like never before.

To prove it, mobile security firm Wandera analysed 50,000 people who are "moderate to heavy iPhone and iPad users" and who ran either iOS 10 or 11 and compared the battery performance in both Operating Systems. Somewhat alarmingly, it was found that phones on iOS 11 ran through a fully-charged battery in just 96 minutes, compared to an average of 240 minutes with iOS 10.

The conclusion: that's not that many minutes...

Twitter, as you might expect, isn't happy.
