Last month, in a game against Lyon, PSG's Edinson Cavani and Neymar became embroiled in a very public spat after they began to argue over who should take penalties and free-kicks.

The feud reportedly spilled out into the dressing room and onto social media, where Neymar unfollowed his teammate on Instagram.

Manager Unai Emery soon urged the pair to find some common-ground, and since then the team has been going from strength to strength with no sign of drama within the squad.

But don't think for a second that Cavani has forgotten. Oh no. Just look at his candid interview with SFR Sport.

"The penalty case, that's in the past," the former Napoli striker said. "These are things that happen in football.

"We must find the solution together and function as a team. We need to be a competitive team, but we do not need to be friends.

"You have to be professional, and afterwards everyone has their own life."

Cavani also said that penalty decisions are up to his manager, Unai Emery – and leaves a sly dig in there, too.

"This is up to the coach to decide. What is best for the team?

"I think the person in charge will find the solution. When he makes the decision, it will be like that.

"Did he make his decision? I don't think so."
