We're extolling the virtues of beautiful people on the big screen today. First we had Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in The Tourist and now it's the turn of David Gandy, Helena Christensen and, erm, Tom Hollander.
"Away We Stay" is a 10 minute short, written and directed by Edoardo Ponti, which tells the story of renowned photographer Alex Worthington (Christensen) who, disillusioned with London life, is tempted to escape and start a new life with mysterious stranger Adam — played, a little clunkily, by Gandy.
Inspired by the work of his father and acclaimed director Carlo Ponti, Edoardo's short is held together not only by the supermodel couple's palpable on-screen chemistry but also by Angus Hudson's stunning cinematography and an eclectic supporting cast, which includes the likes of Nick Moran, Georgina Rylance and, of course, Tom Hollander.
Shot on location in London's Leicester Square, or more specifically in the square's forthcoming W Hotel, "Away We Stay" is both a beautiful showcase for the capital, and rather cleverly, the new residence. Well done W.
