We're hoping, no, praying, that the the nip in this morning's air doesn't mark the end of our somewhat short-lived summer. If, however, it is the case and you - like us - still crave a little sunshine in your life, look no further than the latest release from Rizoli books, "The Story of Island Records: Keep on Running".
Established by music mogul Chris Blackwell in Jamaica back in 1959, the book is a timely celebration of Island Records' 50 years of influence. Having represented some of the industry's greatest greats - think Grace Jones, Roxy Music, U2 and Amy Winehouse - the book is a densely illustrated celebration of musical innovation, featuring some 225 pages of seminal record sleeves, artist portraits and archive photographs. "The Story of Island Records: Keep on Running" is due for release this October, so we imagine It'll keep you running until at least, say, January.
"The Story of Island Records: Keep on Running" is available from October 2010 from Rizzoli International Publications for £25.00.
