A suggestion for stag season

Joining the Ryanair exodus for a weekend takeover of bars in former Soviet States might be starting to lose its charm, plus paint-balling has never really appealed to us (what's so fun about being shot by a paint-filled pellet?). But as we’re not ready for a country cottage just yet, what should the discerning bachelor do in his final days of freedom?

One option that the whisky fans amongst us recommend is the Glenfiddich distillery tour, which comprises access to the warehouse, mash tun rooms, washbacks and cooperage, plus, most importantly, a guided tasting session of the company’s finest whiskies for the whole stag party. The distillery, set in the heart of the glorious Scottish Highlands, can also help organise clay pigeon shooting, fishing, golf and falconry, not to mention fine-dining opportunities that will ensure you make a memorable weekend of it. Tour tickets cost £20 (www.glenfiddich.co.uk)
