Chris Pine is Hollywood's leading man of the moment, and he's on the cover of this month's Esquire.
About to cement his place as Captain Kirk for the new millennium in Star Trek Into Darkness this May, the 32-year-old is also set to star as blockbuster CIA agent Jack Ryan, following in the heavyweight footsteps of Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Alec Bladwin, no less.
But that doesn't mean he's always in the limelight. "When I went to Japan for Star Trek, the fans were at the airport waiting," he tells Sanjiv Bhattacharya in an interview for this month's Esquire. "But they didn't scream until Benedict [Cumberbatch] got off the plane."
Accompanied by a West Hollywood photo shoot, the actor also gets talking about the benefits of therapy, not envying Justin Bieber, and dildos.
Yes, you read that last part right.
The May edition of Esquire is on newsstands now. Also available as a digital edition.
