'Inbetweeners' Stars Reuniting For New Comedy 'White Gold'

The Inbetweeners - a show that delighted old and young alike in its authentic depiction of adolescence as a time of boredom, inadequacy and wanking accidents - is still sorely missed from British TV, so news two of the its stars are reuniting for a new comedy is cause for intrigue at least.

White Gold will star Joe Thomas (Simon, looking exactly the same) and James Buckley (Jay, only with a 'tache) as unscrupulous double-glazing salesmen in what writer Damon Beesley - who also co-penned The Inbetweeners - has described as the "Wolf of Wall Street in Essex". So lots of small fry sex and drugs then.

Airing on BBC2 for six episodes starting Wednesday 24 May, hoping for anything as relatable as The Inbetweeners is probably foolish - unless you were a double-glazing salesman in the 80s, in which case we stand corrected - but judging by the trailer, it'll probably be worth giving a shot.
