Following the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson, Amy Schumer is the latest female celebrity to take umbrage with the Hollywood wage gap, heading back to the negotiating table with Netflix after discovering the fees being paid to comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle for their exclusive stand-up specials.

While the two iconic comedians were both paid $20 million (£15.6 million) for their routines, Variety claims Schumer, off the back of an Emmy win for Inside Amy Schumer and a rise in popularity thanks to her role in the film Trainwreck, was paid $11 million (£8.5 million) for The Leather Special on the streaming network.

After learning of the difference in pay, Schumer apparently renegotiated with Netflix for an undisclosed increase, which is fair enough, but doesn't quite take into account the popularity and body of work from both Rock and Chappelle.

Twitter, as always, had its say on the issue.

Get paid, Amy.... get paid.
