The Rather Exciting Theory Why Daenerys Is Missing From That Finale Trailer

With just four days to go until the Game of Thrones season 7 finale, the internet is packed with theories about who is going to die, win the war, get scorched by dragons or get off with their close family relation.

HBO has released stills and a trailer for the forthcoming episode 'The Dragon and the Wolf' which tbh look about as tense and miserable as A&E on New Year's Eve.

One face notably missing from the action is Daenerys, who it seems HBO are refraining from revealing to us despite the title seeming to promise a showdown involving one of her remaining babies.

But those dragons may be the very reason we're not seeing Khaleesi at the Westeros equivalent of a UN summit: she's going to rock up later on Drogon's back (never off the bloody thing these days, is she?), meaning a dragon coming to King's Landing for the first time.

Vanity Fair points out that, "[A] tantalising prospect is that we'll see Bran's vision of a dragon flying over King's Landing—which first cropped up in Season 4 and then again in Season 6— finally play out this Sunday night."
