Whether it is vying for sun loungers at 8am or negotiating a sunset selfie you're both happy with - couple holidays can be a test of your patience.
But how far would you go to get out of one? Would you, say, invent a terrorist attack in order to dodge the breakfast buffet?
Motaparthi Vamshi Krishna did just that when his girlfriend pressured him into taking her on holiday to Goa. The 32 year old from Hyderabad in India had also been having an affair with a women from Channai Tamil Nadu in the South East of India. Charmer!
Krishna sent hoax warnings of a terror attack from a fake email address, claiming he had heard a group of men planning to hijack a plane. Aiming to disrupt flights into Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad, he said he had heard six men talking in a restaurant, planning to hijack flights at those airports. Seemingly he didn't want his bit on the side to flee him either.
Understandably, the airports response was to put security on high alert and track his IP address to arrest him at his home. He's now being prosecuted for giving false information to a public servant.
A warning to all: an honest chat is always easier than masterminding a fake terror plot.
